Olivia and Amy take St Andrews girls' titles back to England
Both the scratch and handicap match-play titles in the St Andrews Junior Ladies Open went over the Border.
In the scratch section for the Golf Monthly Trophy, Channel Islander Olivia Jordan-Higgins, who is a member at Royal Jersey Golf Club and plays on the US college golf circuit, beat Emma Harris from Peel on the Isle of Man by two holes in the final over the Old Course..
In the morning semi-finals, Emma had beaten the No 1 qualifier, Rebecca Wilson (Grange) by 3 and 2 while Olivia beat Lauren Whyte (St Regulus) by 6 and 4.
The Girls’ Open Quaich handicap competition had an England v Scotland final in which Amy Staniford, the No 1 seed and 15-handicapper from the Datchet club, Berkshire, beat Heather Munro, who plays off eight at Monifieth, by 4 and 3 over the the Old Course.
