STROKE-PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP REDUCED TO
THREE ROUNDS AFTER STORM AT TENBY
Bad weather continued on the third day of the British women's open amateur stroke-play championship at Tenby Golf Club, South Wales today.
Play was suspended from 9 to 11am due to a thunder and lightning storm right about the clubhouse.
The third-round leaders Pamela Pretswell and Chrisje De Vries teed off at 12.30.
The Ladies Golf Union officials have decided there is not enough time available to get the qualifiers round twice so the championship has been reduced to three rounds.
