Sally and Stephanie qualify but Holly fails
Curtis Cup Scot Sally Watson was one of the leading qualifiers for the match-play stages of the United States women's amateur championship at Charlotte Country Club, North Carolina.
Sally had rounds of 72 and 70 for an aggregate of 142 which was the joint fifth best total.
Curtis Cup reserve Stephanie Meadow from Northern Ireland qualified on 149 with rounds of 74 and 75 but Sally's Curtis Cup team at Essex County Club in June, Holly Clyburn (Woodhall Spa) just missed out making it through to the match-play, losing in a play-off (see below).
Holly had rounds of 76 and 75 for 151.
Three players tied for the best qualifying total on 138 (six under par) - Erynne Lee (age 17), Rachel Rohanne (19) and Jaclyn Sweeney (21).

England’s Holly Clyburn missed out on a place in the matchplay stages of the US women’s amateur championship when she was beaten in a play-off.
Holly, 19, was one of six players tied for the 64th and final place in the knockout after she returned qualifying scores of 76, 75 for a seven-over par total at Charlotte Country Club, North Carolina.
Four players were eliminated at the first play-off hole, where they all took four. Holly and one other player both shot three and made it to the next. But there the Woodhall Spa player scored four and lost out to a three.
Holly took the opportunity to play in the championship as a Curtis Cup player. Fellow team member Sally Watson of Scotland qualified for the matchplay in a share of fifth place on two-under par.
