Andrew Carrell wins Paul Lawrie Junior Open

Peterculter's Andrew Carrell won the Paul Lawrie Foundation Junior Open at Deeside Golf Club yesterday.Andrew was in the first group off the tee and he set the clubhouse target of 72 that was not beaten. He won in the end by a shot from Sean Lawrie.
Jamie Pryde ran up a double bogey at the last for a net 70 off five but still managed to claim top prize in Class 2 with Craig Lawrie (4) second on 71 and Niall White (12) a shot back in third.
Dylan Smith was the only non-Deeside member to get a net prize with a net 67 off 13. He won Class 2 (handicaps 13 to 28) by five shots from Sandy McAlister (handicap 16) and Henry Charles (19). 

Tegan Seivwright (Deeside), playing off 19, won the girls' handicap competition with a net 72, one shot ahead off Shannon McWilliam (Aboyne), playing off 19.
