Anna Carling leads Arkansas State to victory

Anna Carling (Vale of Glamorgan) led Arkansas State University to victory in the Chip and Club Collegiate Invitational at Wilderness Ridge, Lincoln in Nebraska.
Over a par-72 course of 6,238yd, Anna had rounds of 72 and 74 for 146, to finished third, two shots behind the individual winner, Amy Anderson (North Dakota State) (71-73) and Paige Osterlook (Kansas State) (74-71 for 145)
Arkansas State (508) beat Kansas and Kansas State, both 599, by a single shot with Texas-San Antonio (604) fourth of 15 teams.
The tournament was reduced to two rounds by bad weather.
Amy Storey from Ponteland, a student at the University of Missouri, tied for eighth place on 149 with scores of 74 and 75.
Team-mate Nicola Race from Essex finished joint 36th on 156 with scores of 77 and 79.
Gemma Hardie (Central Arkansas) shared 48th place in the field of 87 players with scores of 78 and 80 for 159.
