David McGregor from Helensburgh, son of former Olympic Games swimming ace Bobby McGregor, tied for victory in an American college golf tournament on Monday.
Tom Wilde, pictured, from Berkshire tied for 22nd place on 218 with ever-improving scores of 75, 73 and 70 - bet he wishes it was a four-round competition.
Edinburgh's Mark Dickson, a member at Gullane, finished joint 27th with scores of 71, 73 and 76 for 220.
Neil Henderson, the former Scottish schoolboys title-winner and past Scottish junior champion of champions from North Berwick, and Kyle Godsman from Hopeman finished joint 32nd on 222. Henderson scored 72, 75 and 75, Gordman 76, 74 and 72.
Sam Wall from Essex came joint 65th on 231 with scores of 81, 76 and 74.
Penn State (844) won the team title ahead of UNC Wilmington (852) and Xavier (856). Old Dominion (891) finished 10th in the field of 15 teams. South Carolina-Aiken finished 13th on 895.

David McGregor from Helensburgh, son of former Olympic Games swimming ace Bobby McGregor, tied for victory in an American college golf tournament on Monday.
A 6ft 4in junior (third-year) student at Post University, Connecticut, McGregor had rounds of 73 and 76 for 149 in testing conditions for the Northeast Intercollegiate tournament over a 6,638yd, par-72 course at Richter Park Golf Club, Danbury, Connecticut.
McGregor (pictured) and Stuart Pulkinen (Adelphi University, Long Island), who had scores of 75 and 74, finished jointly at the head of a field of 66 players.
Another Post University student from the UK, Welshman Thomas Rees finished joint 13th with rounds of 75 and 79 for 154.
Post University (612) finished third behind Wilmington (604) and American International College (608) in the team event contested by 12 squads.

Harriet Owers-Bradley (Yale University), pictured, from Nottingham tied for sixth place in the Princeton Women's Invitational at Springdale Golf club, Princeton, New Jersey. She had rounds of 72, 77 and 75 for a total of 224 over the par-72, 6,108yd course.
Only one Yale student finished ahead of Harriet - the winner, Seo Hee Moon who scored 74, 68 and 71 for 213 and a five-stroke vcitory from Kelly Shon (Princeton) (72-71-75),
Harriet's sterling effort helped Yale to finished win the team event with a total of 896 - three shots ahead of hosts Princeton with Pennsylvania (906) third, Georgetown (908) fourth and Rollins (910) fifth in the 12-team field.

Three Scots - Mark Dickson and Kyle Godsman (both students at the University of South Carolina-Aiken) and Neil Henderson (Old Dominion University, Virigina) - and two Englishman: Tom Wilde and Sam Wall, both Old Dominion students - took part in the Maryland Intercollegiate tournament over River Marsh Golf Club's par-71, 6801yd course at Cambridge, Maryland.
