SCOTT AND MEGAN WIN PAUL LAWRIE TITLES
Stonehaven's Scott Murray and Megan Clyne (Deeside) won the boys' and girls' titles respectively at Fraserburgh on Sunday in the climax to the Paul Lawrie Foundation match-play championships.
Murray beat David Ritchie over his home course by 3 and 1 in the boys' final have squeezed through at the 19th against Andrew Carrell (Peterculter) in the morning semi-finals. Murray beat Alexander Wiseman (Fraserburgh) 4 and 3 in the other semi-final.
Clyne beat Lauren Duncan (Aboyne) 4 and 3 in the girls final, having beaten Deeside clubmate Sophie Alexander 2 and 1 in the semi-finals.
