NEWS FROM THE US COLLEGE WOMEN'S GOLF WEBSITESANDERSON, South Carolina - Freshman Steph Peareth (Woodham GC, Durham), playing in her first collegiate event, led the way for Pfeiffer University women’s golf team at the Anderson Invitational, played at the 5812yds, par 72, Cobbs Glen CC.
Steph's rounds of 78-79 placed her 4th in the individual field of 40, 5 shots behind the winner Jillian Corum (76-76), of Tusculum College. In the team event, Falcons finished 2nd on 655, again 5 shots off the pace and again tusculum being victorious, with Lenoir-Rhyne University finishing 3rd of the eight teams on 665. The tournament, hosted by Anderson University was played over two days, finishing Tuesday.


FORT WORTH, Texas - After an outstanding 1st semester at Redlands CC, sophomore Jess Schiele (Kenwick Park GC, Lincolnshire) kicked off the new campaign in a tie for 24th of 72 competitors, with a total of 231 (74-77-80), at The Golf Club @ Champions Circle.
On a par 72, 6489yd course, the winning score of 210 (69-71-70) by Susannah Grunden, Bowling Green State, looks pretty respectable! As a team, the Cougars finished 8th of 13 on 937. North Texas were clear winners on 872 followed by Sam Houston State (885) and Lamar (901).


PONTE VEDRA, Florida - The Queens of Charlotte (NC) Invitational was held at the Pete Dye's Valley Course, TPC Sawgrass in Florida. Mel Siviter (Enville GC, Staffordshire) played her part in an excellent victory for Belmont Abbey, who finished on 640 (316-324) with Carson-Newman in 2nd (647) and Ashland in 3rd (648).
Mel (79-81)took 7th individually, nine shots behind the winner, Jennifer Garton of West Florida. Lizzi Over (Forest Pines, Lincolnshire), representing Barry University shot 180 (86-94).

PONTE VERDE, Fla.— The Barry University women’s golf team wrapped up competition at the Queens University of Charlotte Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. After a first-round 334, the Bucs fired a combined 345 in the second round for a team-total 679. The Bucs fell three spots to finish the tournament in ninth place overall.


For the Buccaneers, Isadora Stapff led the way with a 161 (79-82). Stapff finished the tournament in a four-way tie for ninth place individually.


Taylor Babcock posted a 168 (82-86) to finish 24th overall.


Anne Fourdraine and Louise Perulf finished in close range to each other. Fourdraine shot a 173 (87-89) while Perulf was five strokes off Fourdraine with a 178 (87-91).


Lizzi Over wrapped it up for the Bucs. Over shot a 180 (86-94) for the tournament
