AYRSHIRE GIRLS' CENTENARY TROPHY

Amazing Grace wins at Turnberry

The Ayrshire Girls' Centenary Trophy (Stableford) competition was played over the Kintyre Course at Turnberry on Sunday. On a breezy but dry afternoon ten girls (pictured right)  played the Kintyre while 14 pre-handicap girls (pictured below) played a stroke competition over the nine-hole Arran Course.

Emma Hale, the holder, put up a great defence of her trophy, finishing on 36pt, but it was Troon's Grace Mackie off 14 who was the runaway winner with a splendid 40 points.
