Tyler Junior College, Texas freshman Andrew McLachlan from Glasgow finished a creditable joint sixth in a field of 39 players at the Tyler Junior College Fall Invitational tournament at Oak Hurst Golf Club, Bullard in Texas.

Tyler Junior College, Texas freshman Andrew McLachlan from Glasgow finished a creditable joint sixth in a field of 39 players at the Tyler Junior College Fall Invitational tournament at Oak Hurst Golf Club, Bullard in Texas.
Andrew, pictured, had rounds of 76 and 71 for a total of three-over-par 147 over a par-72 course (yardate: 6,813).
He finished seven shots behind the winner by four, Wehmeyer Ferreira (Texaskana) (71-69 for 140).
McLachlan's effort helped Tyler win the team event by eight shots from Texaskana in a field of five squads.Daniel Young makes top 10 in Florida
Young, a sophomore (second year) student, had rounds of 72, 73 and 72 for a total of one-over-par 217 over the par-72 course (yardage 7,105).
Freshman McPhee, pictured, scored 78, 73 and 76 for 227.
A third Lynn University student, Ireland's Shane Smith finished joint 38th on 226 with scores of 77, 72 and 77.
Lynn University players dominated the event with Ricardo Gouveia winning the event with a 207 total, made up of rounds of 70, 65 and 72, ahead of team-mate David Ross (68-71-70).
Not surprisingly, Lynn University (845) won the team event by 16 shots from Rollins College in a field of nine teams.Steven Maxwell outside top 50 at Las Cruces
Maxwell, pictured, had rounds of 77, 78 and 72 for a total of 227 over the par-71 course (yardage: 6,999).
Matt Rawitzer (Idaho) (68-70-70) and Timothy Madigan (New Mexico State) (76-73-72) tied for first place on five-under-par 208.

Jordan McColl from Dundee, a student at New Mexico Junior College, finished joint 12th with a pair of 77s for a total of 154 in the Coca Cola Classic college tournament at Twin Rivers Golf Club, Waco in Texas.
Jordan, pictured, was tackling the longest course he has ever played - 7,428yd with a par of 72.
He finished seven shots behind the winner, Chase Chapman (McLennan Community College) (75-72 for 147).
Ross Milne finishes 10th at Kansas City
Ross, pictured, had rounds of 77 and 81 for a total of 158 over a par-72 course (yardage: 6,687).
Dodge City finished second to Indian Hills CC in a field of five teams.
