Hannah Coles joint

second at

Charleston

Hannah Coles (Radford University, Virginia) from Birmingham finished joint second in a field of 68 players at the CSU Wendy's Invitational women's college tournament at Coosaw Creek Country Club, Charleston in South Carolina.
The Maxstoke Park Golf Club member had rounds of 72 and 75 for a total of five-over-par 147 over the par-71 course with a yardage of 5,901.
Hannah, pictured, finished one shot behind the winner Minjoo Lee (Bucknell) (74-72), sharing the runner-up position with Kasha Scott (Bucknell (73-74).
Hannah's 72 was the joint best first round.
Paisley-born Kirsty Condon, also a Radford student, had rounds of 85 and 82 for 167 and a share of 44th place.
Radford (628) finished fourth of 13 behind winners Bucknell (602) in the team event.

NEIL HENDERSON OUTSIDE TOP 50 IN ODU EVENT

Neil Henderson (Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia) from North Berwick finished joint 52nd in a field of 93 players at the Old Dominion/OBX Collegiate tournament at Kilmarlic Golf Club, Powell's Point, North Carolina.
Over a par-72 lay-out of 6,559yards, Glen Golf Club member Neil had rounds of 76, 74 and 73 for a total of 223.
Team-mate Tom Wilde from Berkshire scored 74, 76 and 77 for 227 and a share of 66th place.
Old Dominion (893) finished 14th of 18 behind winners East Carolina (827) in the team event.
East Carolina also provided the individual winner - by nine strokes - in Harold Varner who had three great rounds of 65, 66 and 65 for a brilliant 20-under-par total of 196.

Steven Maxwell shares seventh place in New Mexico

Glasgow's Steven Maxwell, pictured, a student at Western New Mexico University, finished joint seventh in a field of 75 players at the Cactus Thaw collegiate tournament at Silver City Golf Club, Silver City, New Mexico.
Over a par-71 course (yardage: 6,417), Maxwell had rounds of 70, 75 and 72 for a four-over-par total of 217.
He finished five shots behind the winner, Ross Prachar (New Mexico State) who shot 72, 69 and 71 for one-under-par 212 and a three-stroke victory.
Western New Mexico (879) finished third behind UC-Colorado Springs (6868) and Fort Lewis (878).
