ALISON DAVIDSON PIPS LAUREN WHITE
Former Curtis Cup player and past Scottish champion Alison Davidson (Stirling) won the East of Scotland women's golf championship in very wet weather at Falkirk Tryst Golf Club today.
Alison's round of 74 was matched by Lauren Whyte (St Regulus) but Davidson won the title with the better inward half.
Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe) was placed third, only one shot behind on 75.
Home course player Alexis Hutton, playing off eight, won the handicap award with a net 69, three shots ahead of Claire Capocci (Bridge of Allan), playing off six.
Fife (Susan Jackson, Rachel Hanlon, Lauren Whyte and Nicola Taylor) won the team trophy with a total of 231.
