JANE STOPS STIRLING MONOPOLY OF
STUDENTS' GOLF AT FAIRMONT

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Robert Gordon University's graphic design student Jane Turner, a member of the title-winning Scotland team at the women's home internationals at Cardiff in September and a member of Craigielaw Golf Club, prevented a complete take-over by Stirling students of the leading places in both men's and women's sections of the latest Scottish Universities Order of Merit event over the Torrance and Kittocks courses at Fairmont St Andrews.
Graeme Robertson, with rounds of 73, 79 and 69 for a total of 221 headed a Stirling University 1-2-3-4 in the men's category.
But Jane's scores of 80 and 74 for 154 saw her win the women's event ahead of three Stirling students.
