Denmark’s Julie Tvede and Wales’ Sahra Hassan finished tied at one over par 220 after 54 holes at the Murcia Ladies Open, the final event of the year on the Ladies' European Tour's developmental Access Series, in south-east Spain.
The sudden-death play-off had to be completed on Sunday morning when Julie won at the second extra hole.
Overnight leader Tvede bogeyed the final hole at the La Manga Club Resort in regulation play, for a round of 78, setting up the play-off.
Hassan, pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency, shot a closing round of 76 in tough windy conditions, which blew across the 6245 yard, par 73 South course.
After playing the par five 18th three times without reaching a conclusion, the two players were unable to continue due to darkness. The play-off was completed at the fifth extra hole on Sunday morning.
Both Tvede and Hassan are bidding for a place at the LET final qualifying school along with the title of Murcia Ladies Open champion.
Hassan and Tvede finished three shots clear of joint runners-up, France's Marion Ricordeau and 14-year-old English amateur Charley Hull, both on 223.
Charley birdied the 16th hole to move to even par and looked certain to be involved in the title play-off until she double bogeyed both the 17th and 18th holes.
Total prizefund: 20,000 Euros.
