Another good finish for Jessica Schiele
Kimberley, Emma make top 20 at Spider Invitational
Kimberley Bradbury from Derbyshire, a student at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia, finished 14th in a field of 54 players at the Spider Invitational women's college tournament at Independence Golf Club, Midlothian in Virginia.
Kimberley had rounds of 74, 76 and 87 for a total of 237 over a par-72 lay-out of 6,408yd.
Team-mate Emma Gilmore from Ireland finished joint 15th on 238 with scores of 77, 73 and 88. Isabel Hann (Pennsylvania) won by three strokes with rounds of 72, 77 and 71 for 220.
Pennsylvania (902) also won the team title by 30 shots from Bradley University with Old Dominion (954) fourth of 10 teams.
Paul hits the highs and lows
Paul Ferrier (Baberton), a student at Charlotte University, hit his best form and his worst form in the same tournament this week - the Pacific Invitational at Brookside Country Club, Stockton in California.
Jordan McColl from Dundee, a student at New Mexico Junior College, won the Midland Invitational college golf tournament earlier this week.
He headed a field of 61 players by a single shot.

Another good finish for Jessica Schiele
Jessica Schiele from Grimsby, a student at Redlands Community College, El Reno in Oklahoma, maintained her good record in the States with a share of third place in the one-round Cowgirl Fall Invitational at Lake Charles Country Club, Louisiana.
Over a par-72 course of 6,255yd, Jessica, pictured left, had a round of 73, three shots behind the winner, Balbina Guajardo (Houston Baptist). There were 45 players in the field.
Another Lincolnshire golfer has also been making her mark. Lizzi Over (Forest Pines) was made Girl Athlete of the Week at Barry University, Florida, after she led her team to victory in the Flagler Fall Slam at Marsh Creek, Florida. The Barry University team won by eight shots in a field of 18 teams and Lizzi was joint second in a field of 90 players with scores of 75, 78 for 153. She finished only two shots behind the winner, Heather Petronis (Saint Leo) (72-79 for 151).

Paul, pictured left, the 2007 Scottish boys' match-play championship finished joint 48th in a field of 59 players with a total of 11 over par 224.
He had rounds of 75, 69 and 80 over a par-71 course of 6,757yd.His second-round 69 was a fine effort with an outward half of 33. But in the final round Paul required 43 shots for the same nine holes which cost him a quadruple bogey 9, a triple bogey 7 and a double bogey 7. He also had two birdies in that nightmare outward half.
In all, Ferrier had 11 birdies over the 54 holes, which was good shooting, but he had another two double bogeys in his opening round.
The winner by three strokes was T J Bordeaux (Pacific) with a total of 15-under-par 198, made up of rounds of 68, 61 and 69.
Charlotte (851) finished fourth of 12 teams behind winners Pacific University (827).Labels: US COLLEGES
