Ladies European Tour pre-qualifier

Martin Kaymer's arrival slashed 13 shots off

his girlfriend's second round at La Manga

FROM THE LADIES' EUROPEAN TOUR WEBSITE
Newly crowned men’s European No 1 Martin Kaymer, who won the European Tour’s Race to Dubai on Sunday, has made a surprise appearance at the Ladies' European Tour's Pre-Qualifying School at La Manga Club, Spain.
He is caddying for his girlfriend Allison Micheletti as she pursues her dream of becoming a professional golfer on the Ladies European Tour.
The world No.3 arrived in Spain from the Dubai World Championship to surprise his American girlfriend, whom he joined for dinner in the bar on Monday evening.
Golf’s hot couple was then spotted walking the fairways together, with the US PGA champion Kaymer carrying Micheletti’s bag.
Rebecca Hudson (@BecsHudson) tweeted prior to Tuesday's second round: "Martin Kaymer is caddying for his girlfriend at Pre-Qualifying. Hope he gets the yardages ok!!"
He seemed to be doing a sterling job as amateur Micheletti’s score improved dramatically in the second round.
She shot a 16-over-par 89 on the par 73 South Course on Monday, but was nine shots better on the par 71 North Course on Tuesday with a round of five-over 76. We will see if her scores can improve further as Kaymer continues his caddie duties for the final two rounds. There is no cut in this competition.
Swedish professional Louise Larsson from Karlstad Golfklubb led the 72-hole tournament on five-under-par after rounds of 70 and 69 on the North and South courses respectively.
Swedish professional Caroline Hedwall and French amateur Joanna Klatten were both on three-under-par after second rounds of 70 and 71 on the North Course today. Overnight leader Elin Emanuelsson of Sweden was two strokes back on one-under after a second round of 74 on the North.
It was raining for most of the day but with little wind, scores generally improved on the first round.
Belgian amateur Benedicte Toumpsin had her first ever hole-in-one on the second hole of the North course using an 8 iron and carded a second round of 72 which lifted her into a share of 38th position.
After four rounds the leading 70 players and ties, with 35 from each side of the course, will progress to Final Qualifying from December 15-20. The top 30 qualifiers will receive LET membership in Category 8a.
