Top 10 finish by Ingram, Docherty at Lindenwood

Jonathan Ingram from Brighton and Richard Docherty from Bearsden, Glasgow - both students at Lindenwood University, Missouri - finished joint fourth and seventh respectively in a field of 90 players for the Lindenwood Fall Invitational college tournament at Whitmoor Country Club, St Charles, Missouri.
Ingram had scores of 72, 74 and 87 for a total of 233 while Docherty had rounds of 77, 78 and 79 for 234 over a par-72 course of 6,746yd.
Derrick Meier (Viterbo) won with three rounds of 74 for 222.
Lindenwood (931) won the team title by one shot from Viterbo in a field of 14 squads
LATER NEWS: Ingram and Docherty were in action again for Lindenwood this week in the Mobile Rams Fall Invitational at Heron Lakdes Country Club, Mobile in Alabama.
Jonathan Ingram had a pair of 75s for a total of 150 and a share of 10th place over a par-72 course of 6,806yd. Richard Docherty finished joint 16th in a field of 81 players with scores of 77 and 75 for 152.
Winner by one stroke with a total of 143 was Tyler Smith (Lee University) (72-71).
Lindenwood (604) finished third behind Shorter University (600) and Lee University (6092) in a field of 12 teams.

GAVIN (jt 6th) HELPS JACKSONVILLE TO TITLE

Gavin St John Frost from Berkshire, a student at Jacksonville United finished joint sixth on 141 (72-69) over a par-71 course of 6,767yd in the The Hummingbird Intercollegiate at Sapphire Valley Country Club, Sapphire in North Carolina.
Welshman Jason Shufflebottom (University of Alabama-Birmingham) came 13th in a field of 98 players with scores of 71 and 72 for 143. Winner by two strokes was Adam Hofman (Vanderbilt) with scores of 66 and 69 for seven-under-par 135.
St John Frost's effort helped Jacksonville (563) win the team title by six shots from Vanderbilt. Alabama-Birmingham (585) came joint ninth in a field of 18 teams.
