Many years ago film star trio Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour took "The Road to Morocco."
In 2011, you have the chance to follow their trail with your golf clubs for a golfing holiday in North Africa that you will never forget.
If you are basically a holiday golfer, then the 2nd Morocco Golf Festival, played over five courses at Marrakech from October 8 to 15 is the one for you.
If you are more competitively minded, then the following week's inaugural Moroccan international amateur championships from October 18 to 21 at Agadir on the country's Atlantic coastline with golden beaches as far as the eye can see, will be more to your liking.

But on Kirkwoodgolf.co.uk I am going to lay out the attractions for female golfers at Agadir between October 18 and 21.
Let's do it by handicap.
Ladies/girls with handicaps of 11 or under can enter the:

MOROCCAN INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Over 72 holes at the Ocean Course, Agadir.
Tuesday to Friday, October 28-21.
Two practice rounds included in your entry fee of 100 Euros.
It's a counting event for the Women's World Amateur Rankings.
And the prize vouchers on offer are at the maximum level permitted by the R and A Rules of Amateur Status:
There will be no halfway cut - everyone plays four competitive rounds, making six in all if you count the practice rounds.
Prize vouchers for four-round gross totals
1st –  500 Euros (+ championship trophy).
2nd – 400 Euros.
3rd – 300 Euros.
4th – 200 Euros.
5th – 100 Euros
6th – 75 Euros.

If you are 50 years or over on October 19, and have a handicap of 18 or less, then you can enter the:

SENIOR WOMEN’S 54-HOLE STROKE-PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Wednesday to Friday, October 19-21

No two-round cut.
Prize vouchers for three-round gross totals
1st – 500 Euros (+ championship trophy).
2nd – 400 Euros.
3rd – 300 Euros.
4th – 200 Euros.
5th – 100 Euros.
6th – 75 Euros.

For ladies and girls with handicaps of more than 18 but 36 or less, then you can play in the:

AGADIR OPEN AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS
Wednesday to Friday, October 19-21

WOMEN’S 54-HOLE STABLEFORD TOURNAMENT

No two-round cut
Prize vouchers for three-round points totals
1st – 250 Euros.
2nd – 200 Euros.
3rd – 150 Euros.
4th – 100 Euros.
5th – 50 Euros.
6th – 40 Euros

And for ladies who will be 50 or over on October 19 and have a handicap of 36 or less, then the followig is for you:

+The Tournament Director reserves the right to reduce the prize list for any event which attracts fewer than 60 competitors.
