CHARLEY HULL THROUGH TO FLORIDA MATCH-PLAY FINAL

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Charley Hull, 14-year-old Woburn Golf Club member, gained a measure of revenge today on American Jaye Marie Green who relegated her to second place in the South Atlantic women's amateur stroke-play golf championship last weekend.
In this week's Orange Blossom Tour event in Florida - the Jones-Doherty match-play championship at Coral Ridge Country Club, Fort Lauderdale, Charley, pictured right, the No 3 seed, beat 16-year-old Green, the No 2 seed, 3 and 2 in the semi-final.
Charley was two up at the turn and went four up on the 14th hole where Green missed a three-footer. Green won the 15th hole to be three down with three to play. However, Hull two-putted from 10 feet to close Green out on the next green.
Charley will now play the leading qualifier, Kyle Roig (Puerto Rico) in Saturday's 18-hole final.
Roig was a 3 and 2 winner over Anna Hancock, from Lakelands, Florida, the No 13 qualifier in the other semi-final.
In the First Flight competition for first-round losers in the championship, Stirling University student Eilidh Mackay (Nairn Dunbar) lost by 7 and 6 to A Dulman in the second semi-final.
S West beat C Martin by 5 and 4 in the other semi-final.
