Craigielaw's Jane Turner is hoping a decision to swap the Scottish winter for an Australian summer will help her get off to a flying start to a season she hopes to use as a launchpad to a strong Curtis Cup challenge next year.
The 21-year-old, pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency, is halfway through a two-month stint at the Joondalup Golf Resort in Perth, Western Australia, having decided the chance to work on her game at the world-class facility was more beneficial than playing in events such as the Spanish and Portuguese international women's amateur championships.

"The facilities here in Australia make it easier for me to work hard and that hard work is going to give me the best start to my season," said Turner, who helped Scotland win the Women's Home Internationals last September at Whitchurch, Cardiff for the first time since 1991.

The two-time British Universities champion is hoping to make it three in a row when she defends her title at West Lancs in April, which will also see her tee up in the Helen Holm Trophy at Troon.

Turner is looking for a strong performance in the latter to put her in the frame for the Great Britain and Ireland team for the Vagliano Trophy and, in turn, the side for next year's Curtis Cup at Nairn.
