CONOR HAS WRIST OP, JAMES STARS FOR MSU IN MATCH-PLAY

US COLLEGE NEWS FROM CONOR O'NEIL
(Michigan State University)
Michigan State University lost against Purdue but beat Penn State and Wisconsin in the Big Ten Conference match-play championships (Conor is pictured on right).
I wasn't able to play as I have been out of action since November with a wrist injury.
I have had it operated on and will be back in the team for the Pinehurst Invitational!
James Ross (from Edinburgh), pictured left, was the star performer for MSU with three wins from three, playing at No 1!

E-MAIL FROM CAROLE BLEASEWe love all your news on the Gillian Kirkwood website.
Just to let you know that Gareth Blease from Burhill, Surrey is also at Michigan State University with James Ross & Conor O'Neill (Scotland)
and Matthew Moseley from Wales
Gareth, who is a freshman, lost one and won two in the Big Ten Matchplay - Regards, Carol.
NOTE FROM EDITOR: Always glad to hear from British and Irish students (and their mums and dads!) who play on the US men's and women's golf circuits. On occasion we miss some tournament results on the GolfStat service and there is also news - such as Conor telling us about his wrist operation - which does not appear on GolfState. So, feel free to E-mail Colin Farquharson at Colin@scottishgolfview.com

+GolfStat - although a great service from US college tournaments - is not always as fast as I would like it to be. The Big Ten Conference match-play championship, referred to by Conor O'Neil, ended last Saturday but the results have still to be posted on GolfStat!
