BELEN MOZO'S BLISTERING FINISH WINS SPANISH PRO EVENT

Former British girls and women's amateur champion Belen Mozo from Spain won the top prize of 6,000 Euros in the Spanish Banesto Women's Pro Golf Tour event which ended at Novo Sancti Petri Golf Club, Cadiz on Saturday.
Belen, pictured, covered her last five holes in this 36-hole competition in three under par with birdies at the 13th, 14th, 17th and 18th, bogeying only the 15th, in coming home in 33 for five-under-par 67 and a total of five-under-par 139.
She pipped France's Marion Ricordeau (68-72) by a shot. Marion earned 3,600 Euros. She came home in 35 with eight pars and a solitary birdie at the 13th so could not hold Mozo at bay.
The next two events on the Spanish women's pro tour are at Retamares Casino Club de Folt, Valdeoinos, Madrid from April 28 to 30, and the June 9 to 11 competition at Golf Lerma at Lerma, Burgos.
