Perhaps the people who selected the all-male "Team Hydro" would like to tell readers of Kirkwoodgolf.co.uk why at least one female was not included.

One recent event did irk even the mild-mannered Matthew: the absence of a young, up-and-coming female from the five-strong "Team Scottish Hydro" that will receive much-needed financial aid over the coming season.
It was a shame they couldn't find a lady professional," she says with a shake of the head. "I only know what I've read but I find it hard to believe they couldn't find a suitable candidate. Kylie Walker is just starting out on her pro career. She is very promising. And there are others like Krystle Caithness and Vikki Laing, who have European Tour cards. It's just disappointing more than anything.
"The saddest thing is the 'Team Hydro' people probably never even considered a lady pro. Maybe it never entered their head. Although, come to think of it, it would be worse if they did consider a female and decided against it.
"Sadly, I'm resigned to the fact that we will never get the same level of attention as the men and I'm tired of banging my head off that wall.
