KAREN, FIONA MISS SCOTLAND VETS' LINE v IRELAND SENIORS

The Scotland veteran women's golf team to defend the Mary McKenna Cup against Ireland's senior women's line-up at Craigielaw Golf Club on April 17 and 18 will lack the service of Scottish senior women's champion Fiona De Vries (St Rule) and Scottish veteran women's title-holder Karen Ballantyne (Craigmillar Park). Fiona was a member of the Scotland curling team which recently won the national senior women's curling title and so qualified to play in the world senior women's curling championships at Minneapolis-St Paul, Minnesota during the same April week as the golf match against the Irish.
Karen is also unavailable because she will be in Australia at that time.
