There will be no Scottish player in the match-play stages of this year's Spanish international women's amateur championship at Sherry Golf (Jerez).
Scottish champion Kelsey MacDonald (Stirling Univ and Nairn Dunbar), Alyson McKechin (Elderslie) and Rachael Watton (Mortonhall) all failed to score 153 or better to figure among the 32 qualifiers.
Kelsey had rounds of 79 and 76 for 155; Rachael 81 and 75 for 156 and Alyson 81 and 79 for 160.
Leading British and Irish qualifier was joint third place Leona Maguire from the Slieve Russell club in Ireland. The 16-year-old Curtis Cup twin won the recent Portuguese international women's amateur title.
Leona scored 74 and 72 for 146 - four shots behind the top seeds, Ines Lescudier (France) (74-68) and Vicki Troeltsch (Germany) (72-70).
Leona's twin Lisa alsmo made it with ease in 17th position, scoring 77 and 73 for 150 - the same total as a third Irish Curtis Cup player, Danielle McVeigh who responded to the pressure of having to follow a first-round 79 with a low score - and did just that: a one-under-par 71, one of the lower rounds of the day for 150.
Charley Hull, the Woburn youngster who played so well on the Orange Blossom tour in Florida in January, missed the cut by six shots with 81 and 78 for 159.
