LISA MAGUIRE IN LAST 4 AFTER 21st HOLE WIN OVER HOLLY CLYBURN

Leona Maguire won last month's Portuguese international women's amateur championship. Will her 16-year-old twin Lisa now win the Spanish international women's amateur championship at Sherry Golf (Jerez) this weekend?
Lisa, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, won a titantic quarter-final match this morning against her Curtis Cup-team-mate Holly Clyburn (Woodhall Spa) at the 21st hole.
Clyburn was two holes to the good after eight and three up after 11 before her younger opponent started her winning comeback by winning the 12th, then the 13th and 15th.
Lisa Maguire lost the 16th and was one down on the 18th tee. Under the severest of pressure she squared the match at the last hole in regulation play and then prevailed at the 21st.
Leona Maguire lost by 6 and 4 to France's Emilie Alonso.
Alonso took an early grip on the outcome by going three up after five and was five holes up at the ninth.
In this afternoon's semi-finals, Lisa Maguire from the Slieve Russell club, Co Cavan in Ireland, will play Antonia Scherer (Germany), one-hole conqueror of Madelene Sagstrom (Sweden).
Scherer was two up after five but Sagstrom had squared the contest by the 11th.
In a nip-and-tuck finish, it was all square again after 17 holes. Scherer on the 18th for a narrow victory.
In the other sem-final, Alonso will play Emma Nilsson (Sweden), who beat Julia Neumann (Germany) by 3 and 2.
Nilsson dictated matters after going two up over the first five holes. At the turn she had doubled her lead to four and Neumann could only get one hole back on the inward journey.
QUARTER-FINALS
Lisa Maguire (Ireland) bt Holly Clyburn (England) at 21st.
Antonia Scherer (Germany) bt Madelene Sagstrom (Sweden) 1 hole.
Emilie Alonso (France) bt Leona Maguire (Ireland) 6 and 4.
Emma Nilsson (Sweden) bt Julia Neumann (Germany) 3 and 2.
