LOUISE HAS HER BEST ROUND ON US COLLEGE CIRCUIT
Louise McGillivray from Banchory, a freshman student at Carson-Newman University, shot her lowest single round on the US women's college circuit during the Pinehurst Challenge women's college tournament at National Golf Club, Pinehurst, North Carolina this week.
After a disappointing opening round of 89 over the par-72, 5,835yd course, Louise, pictured, got it all together to improve by 13 shots with a 76, the lowest score by any member of the Carson-Newman team at the event.
The Scot's total of 165 earned her a share of 36th place in a field of 165.The winner was Jordan Hatch (Saint Leo Univesity) with scores of 74 and 73 for 147.
McGillivray's effort enabled Carson-Newman (647) to finish fourth in a field of 18 teams behind joint winners UNC-Pembroke and St Leo (both 625) and Newberry (626).Labels: US COLLEGES
