MELISSA PIPPED BUT HER COLLEGE WIN 2ND TEAM TITLE IN ROW

Melissa Siviter (Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte, North Carolina) was pipped by one stroke for victory in the Mustang Intercollegiate women's tournament at the University of New Mexico course, Albuquerque on Sunday.
Sophomore (second-year) student Melissa (pictured) from Coseley in the West Midlands had rounds of 75 and 78 for 153 - one shot more than the winner, Jessica Dailleboost (Western New Mexico University) who had a pair of 76s.
Consolation for Melissa was the fact that Belmont Abbey chalked up back-to-back tournament team wins following quickly on their 28-shot success in the Dana Rader Intercollegiate.
At this one, Belmot Abbey (6210 had six shots to spare from runners-up Western New Mexico in a field of 11 teams.
A total of 58 players took part.
ALEX BANHAM FOURTH AT PORT ST LUCIE
Birmingham's Alex (short for Alexandra) Banham, a student at Stetson University, finished fourth in a field of 49 players at the Sienna College women's tournament at Wanamaker Course, Port St Lucie in Florida.
Over a par-72, 6,023yd course, Alex, pictured, had rounds of 81 and 72 (joint best of second round) for a total of 153.
All of the first four places were filled by Stetson students, the winner by three shots being Alex Buelow with scores of 73 and 72 for 145.
Not surprisingly, Stetson (611) won the team title ahead of Rutgers (631) in a field of eight teams.
