NIKKI DUNN JT 12th IN BIG FIELD AT RIO VERDE INVITATIONAL

Nikki Dunn from Harrogate, a student at Texas A and M Corpus Christi University, finished joint 12th in a big field of 90 players at the Rio Verde Invitational women's college tournament which finished at the weekend at White Wing at Rio Verde Country Club, Arizona.
Nikki, pictured, had scores of 78, 78 and 72 over the par-72, 6,300yd lay-out to finish 10 shots behind the winner by four, Catherine Dolan (Missouri State University).
There were two other English students in the field - Welsh girl international Natasha Gobey (Toledo University) and Emma Clegg from Clitheroe, Lancashire, a team-mate of the winner at Missouri State.
Natasha finished joint 16th with scores of 79, 72 and 69 for 230.
Emma came joint 67th with scores of 84, 80 and 81 for 245.
Eastern Michigan (910) won the team title in a tight finish with Northern Arizona (911) with Michigan a close-up third on 913. Missouri State (933) finished fourth of the 17 teams.
MATTHEW WALLACE MAKES TOP 30 AT LAKE JOVITA
Matthew Wallace (Jacksonville State University) from London finished joint 30th in the USF Invitational men's college tournament at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club, Dade City in florida.
Matthew had rounds of 70, 77 and 72 for a total of 219 over the par-72, 7,060yd course. He finished 14 shots behind the winner by two, Hunter Green (Middle Tennessee State University) (69-67-71 for 205).
Another Jacksonville State student, Tom Robson from Portsmouth finished joint 66th on 227 with scores of 78, 74 and 75.
Middle Tennessee State (838) won the team title comfortably from runners-up Florida State (857). Jacksonville State (880) came joint 11th in a field of 21 teams.
