Staffordshire county player Melissa Siviter from Coseley in the West Midlands and a student at Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte in North Caroline, finished second to team-mate Michelle Low from Malaysia in the Dan Rader Women's Intercollegiate tournament at Ballantyne Resort and Golf Club, Charlotte.
Over a par-71 course of 5,830 rounds, Michelle headed the field of 67 players with rounds of 79 and 76 for 155.
Melissa, pictured right, lying eighth at the start of the second round, pulled herself up to within one shot of Low with scores of 81 and 75 for 156.
Although she was playing as an individual, nice to see Scotland's Ashton Ingram from Fort William, another student at Belmont Abbey, back on the golf course and finishing joint 24th with scores of 83 and 90 for 173.
With Low and Siviter finishing 1-2, no surprise that Belmont Abbey (635) won the team title by a commanding margin from Pfeiffer (662) in a field of 12 teams.
It was Belmont Abbey's fourth team success of the 2010-2011 campaign. Well played, girls!
