Ewan Scott (St Andrews) had to miss the last of the four Scottish Golf Academy Winter Series 18-hole competitions - played at Troon Darley on Sunday - for a very good reason: He was playing for Scotland in the international boys quadrangular match in Italy.

But Ewan, pictured right, had enough points in the bag from the three earlier competitions to retain his position at the top of the Under-16 boys' order of merit table with 625pt.
It was a St Andrews 1-2 in the end with Ben Kinsley, winner of the boys' event at Troon Darley, finishing second to Scott with 552.50pt.
Clara Young (North Berwick) won the Under-16 girls' order of merit. Fourth place at Troon Darley, with main rivals Lesley Atkins (Gullane Ladies) and Lauren Whyte (St Regulus) behind her, clinched the title for Clara with 687.50pt.

Sunday's round had not started well for Clara (pictured right) - she had a double bogey at the first but an eagle 2 at the third cancelled out that blip and she finished with a steady 78.
Lesley Atkins, the Scottish Under-18 girls' champion of last year, was runner-up with 637.50pt.

Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies), pictured left, won the Over-16 girls' order of merit with 675pt. Runner-up with 555 was Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe), winner of the girls' section at Troon Darley.
