SPAIN, GERMANY SHARE WOMEN'S TEAM LEAD IN NATIONS CUP

Scotland, England and Ireland did not put forward teams to play in the European Nations Cup women's section (formerly the Sherry Cup) which teed off at Sotogrande on Spain's Costa del Sol today.
Spain and Germany shared the lead at the end of the first round on the 1476 mark. Wales are joint fifth on 156 with a pair of 78s from Becky Harries and Amy Boulden. Chloe Williams had a non-counting 79 under the best two-from-three scores to count format.
