LORETTO BOYS WIN INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS GA TITLE IN WALES

This year's Independent Schools Golf Association Home Internationals were hosted by Monmouth School (Wales), held at The Rolls of Monmouth and Celtic Manor.
This year saw the addition of an Irish team, Coleraine Academical.
Perfect conditions for the golfers at The Rolls of Monmouth on day one,
with only a slight chill to contend with. Carl Kolloss from Loretto
(Scotland) took full advantage of these conditions and shot an opening
round of 69, one shot off the course record. Team-mates Max Walz 75, Marvin
Aurnhammer 74 and Nic Rey 76 set the competition off to a great start
and put Loretto after the first day's play in a confident, 17-shot lead over
second place Millfield (England).
The second day found yet again perfect conditions for the eager competitors around the challenging Montgomerie course at Celtic Manor. The Loretto boys produced another day's fine performance of 74, 76, 77 and 79 to win the trophy by 31 shots
