LYNNE FENTON LEADS ANGUS QUALIFIERS AT PANMURE BARRY

Past champion Lynne Fenton (Carnoustie Ladies) headed the 16 qualifiers for the match-play stages of the Angus women’s county golf championship at Panmure Barry. She matched the par of 74 to claim the top seeding, closely followed by her playing partner, Jackie Brown (Monifieth) with a 75.
The young county players continue to feature with Jessica Meek (Carnoustie Ladies) continuing her good form from the weekend “Helen Holm” at Troon with a 76 to be the third best qualifier.

Other juniors through to Sunday’s match-play are Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies) and the Monifieth trio of Heather Munro, Katie Reid and Jemma Chalmers.
