Former Scottish junior champion of champions Neil Henderson from North Berwick, a student at Old Dominion University, Norfolk in Virginia, finished a creditable joint fifth in a field of 55 players at the Colonial Athletic Association Conference Championship over the Pinehurst No 8 course, North Carolina
Henderson's four-under-par 68 over a long course of 7,092yd was the lowest score in the second round. He had scores of 76 and 75 either side of it for a total of three-over-par 219.
He finished five shots behind the winner by three, Josh Brock (UNC-Wilmington) (72-71-71).

Other Old Dominion University students, Sam Wall from Essex and Tom Wilde from Berkshire finished 23rd and T34 respectively. Wall scored 77, 76 and 76 for 229 while Wilde had scores of 79, 77 and 81 for 237.
