The scratch quarter-final between young Eleanor Tunn and Magi Vass was very close with Eleanor reaching the last four with a 2 and 1 victory.
Anne Ryan played excellent golf in the afternoon afternoon - two under par gross on the front nine against Gillian Dowling.
Gillian, who beat Winnie Ross in the morning 3 and 2, had an eagle on the
13th in that match and in the afternoon managed another eagle, this time on
the 11th, but was beaten 7 and 6.
