Londoner Matt Wallace, recently named the Ohio Valley Conference freshman golfer of the year (2010-2011), figured in a triple tie for victory this week in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship which was reduced from the scheduled three rounds to two because bad weather swept in and flooded the Grey Stone Golf Club course at Dickson, Tennessee.
Jacksonville State University, Alabama student Wallace scored 72 and 67 (best second round), finishing on the same five-under-par mark of 139 (par-72, 6858yd) as teammate Andres Schonbaum (67-72) and Johan Erikson (Eastern Kentucky) (69-70).
The weather situation ruled out a play-off being staged.
