ENGLAND NAME TRIO FOR ST RULE TROPHY TEAM EVENT
NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY THE ENGLISH WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION
The trio of Holly Clyburn, Emily Taylor and Kelly Tidy will represent England in the Nations Cup event at this weekend’s St Rule Trophy at St Andrews.
The tournament will be contested by a high-class international field and takes place on the New Course on Saturday and moves to the Old Course on Sunday. Holly Clyburn (Woodhall Spa), 20, is a Curtis Cup player and England international and has been selected for the GB and I team for the Astor Trophy, formerly the Commonwealth Tournament, in June.
Emily Taylor (Royal Lytham and St Annes), 16, helped England win the girls’ Home internationals last season. She was also the 2010 Scottish U16 strokeplay champion.
Kelly Tidy (Royal Birkdale), 19, is the British champion, an England international and, like Holly, has been selected for the GB and I Astor Trophy team. She played in the 2010 Ricoh Women’s British Open
