REBECCA WOOD IS NEW YORKSHIRE CHAMPION

FROM THE ENGLISH WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION WEBSITE
Rebecca Wood joined the elite group of players who have been champions in two counties when she won the Yorkshire title at Lindrick Golf Club.
Rebecca, who plays at Hallamshire, was also the 2007 Derbyshire champion at a time when she was a member at Glossop and District. She is a past member of the England U18 squad and was a successful student golfer when she studied at Sheffield Hallam University.
Rebecca, the leading qualifier with rounds of 74 and 72 for 146, won her latest title when she beat former international Emma (Duggleby) Brown (Malton and Norton) by two holes in the Yorkshire championship final. The losing semi-finalists were Carley Warrington (Sickleholme) and defending champion Sara Garbutt (Ganton).
