LOUISE v ALEXIS FOR STIRLING AND CLACKMANNAN TITLE

Title-holder Louise Macgregor (Falkirk), 22, is through to Friday's final of the Stirling and Clackmannan women's county golf championship at Falkirk Tryst. Her opponent will be 17-year-old Alexis Hutton (Falkirk Tryst), last year's junior county champion. Tonight's semi-finals were played in torrential rain with Louise, the No 3 qualifier, beating Laura Bissett (Braehead), the No 2 seed, by 5 and 3 while Alexis, the ninth qualifier, beat the 2009 champion, Jill Harrison (Linlithgow) by 4 and 3. The final will tee off on Friday at 5.30pm.
