PERTH AND KINROSS BEAT ANGUS IN NORTH TITLE DECIDER

Perth and Kinross will go as North Division champions to the Scottish women's county golf championship finals at Dumfries and County GC from September 16 to 18. P and K beat Angus 5 1/2-3 1/2 in the divisional decider at Inchmarlo Golf Club, Banchory today. After the foursomes were shared 1 1/2-1 1 1/2, P and K gained the upper hand with singles victories by Steph Crolla, curling ace Eve Muirhead, Jillian Milne and Laura Walker. Aberdeenshire finished third by beating Northern Counties 5 1/2-3 1/2. RESULTS: Day 1 - Perth and Kinross 7, Aberdeenshire 2; Angus 7, Northern Counties 2.
