CLIMAX TO FALKIRK FESTIVAL OF JUNIOR GOLF

Yesterday's Junior Open at Falkirk Tryst was the final event of the week long Falkirk Festival of Junior Golf. Over 70 boys and girls took part and there was some tremendous scoring in the sunny conditions.

FALKIRK GOLF CLUB'S STUART IRVING (14) IS HAVING A GREAT SEASON

 

FROM ALLAN BRYSONPictured on right is Stuart Irving - a Junior Golfer at Falkirk Golf Club. He is 14 years old and is having a great season.
Stuart won our open this week with a scratch 73 and I have just heard he had another fantastic round in the Grangemouth Junior Open, winning it with a scratch 71.

It was a great day for Falkirk Golf Club at our Junior Open with Stuart Irving
winning the overall Scratch title with a brilliant scratch 73 and Jamie McEwan winning the overall handicap with a nett 62. Alison Goodwin of Glenbervie won the Girls Scratch title with a gross 80.
The start of the event was delayed by two hours due to overnight torrential rain which didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the participants or the quality of the course which was much admired by the players. A total of 52 contested the various titles.
