GLENCORSE A WIN MORISON MILLAR TOURNAMENT

Thirty-two teams of four ladies from 20 Edinburgh golf clubs took part in the double foursomes Morison Millar Trophy Tournament at Mortonhall Golf Club on Thursday 7th July 2011. This year marks the 10th Anniversary of Ladies membership at Mortonhall and it was the first time they had hosted the competition.
Three teams had to be balloted out of this popular tournament for the first time since 2007.
Although rain and thunder had been forecast, the weather turned out to be reasonably dry and sunny with only a few showers in the morning, and the players were challenged to a course in excellent condition with fast greens.
Mrs Jan Paterson, accompanied by her daughter Isabella, presented the prizes and the results were as follows:-

2nd – Comiston Ladies – Anne Brownie and Zandra Mathieson, Alexis Manson and Barbara Lyle - nett 307
3rd – Lothianburn – Viv Curran and Karina Matson, Janet Begrie and Kay Lannin - nett 308
4th – Mortonhall A – Tracy Laughland and Sandra Dickson, Carol Fulton and Carol Brown - nett 310
