excellent putt at the 17th to stay in the match. She then went on to
win the 18th to square the match and won the 19th.
It has been a bit showery this morning. The first match this afternoon
went out at 12noon in the sunshine but we are now in the middle of a
heavy shower which hopefully won't last too long. The forecast for
this afternoon was very good but they don't always get it right.
AFTERNOON REPORT
Laura Murray beat Sammy Vass on the 18th green at the end of a very close final match.
At the 4th they halved with birdies after Sammy sank a
25ft putt. At the turn Laura went one up when she birdied the 9th.
She had birdies at the 10th and 16th to go 2 up, having lost the 14th.
Sammy birdied the 17th to get it back to one down and they halved the 18th for Laura to win the Gifford Trophy
In the handicap final for the Angus Salver, Fiona Hay was four up at the turn against Carol Wilson and was only 1 over par gross at the 9th. Fiona then went on to win the next three holes.
It has all gone very well and the afternoon turned out to be excellent
with the sun shining all the time.
