SCOTS LYING 10th IN EUROPEAN YOUNG MASTERS IN HUNGARY
Scotland's quartet of two boys and two girls are lying 10th in a field of 25 teams after two rounds of the European Young Masters for Under-16 year olds at Royal Balaton Golf Club, Hungary.
Spain (445) leads from Italy (446) with England (463) the best of the home countries in seventh place, three ahead of the Scots (474) with Ireland (483) lying 16th and Wales (490) 18th).
Ewan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) climbed up to joint sixth in the boys' section with a second-round 73 for 152 - six behind the French leader, Kenny Subregis (72-74 for 146).
Bradley Neil (Blairgowrie) is in 20th place on 153 after a 79.
Clara Young (North Berwick) is joint 22nd in the girls' section with an improved second-round score of 76 - nine better than Day 1 - for 161.
Lauren Whyte (St Regulus, St Andrews) also improved with a 78 for 163 and she is in joint 26th place.
Junior Vagliano Cup player Harang Lee (Spain) leads on 143 (72-71).
