TEAMS ANNOUNCED FOR NEXT WEEK'S BOYS' INTERNATIONALS

NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY THE R AND ASt Andrews: The teams have been announced for next week's Boys' Home Internationals at Royal St David's, Harlech, North Wales. The event, contested by the best players aged 18 or under from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, takes place from Tuesday to Thursday, August 2 to 4.
Ireland defend The R and A Trophy which they won for the second time in three years at Southerness last August.

Each fixture will comprise five morning foursomes followed by ten afternoon singles, each played over 18 holes.
Ireland open the defence of The R and A Trophy on Tuesday when they clash with Wales while Scotland take on England hoping to repeat their 2010 victory. The matches have been evenly balanced in recent years with Scotland winning in 2006, England in 2007 and 2009 and Ireland in 2008 and 2010.
Royal St David’s was founded in 1894 and is one of Wales' top courses with Snowdon in sight and the magnificent Harlech Castle as its backdrop. It has hosted several R and A events in the past including a Boys' International series and the Boys Amateur Championship.
In 2013 Royal St David’s will again add to its R and A Championship history when it hosts the Jacques Leglise Trophy match between boys representing Great Britain and Ireland and the Continent of Europe.
