2011-2012 UNITED STATES COLLEGE GOLF SEASON IS UNDER WAY


The American college golf circuit has teed off for 2011-2012 and we look forward to bringing you news of how the students from Great Britain and Ireland are faring.

There are a lot of colleges in America and it is difficult to keep track of them all.

LONDONER YOUSAF FINISHES SECOND
IN GRAND VIEW'S 1-2-3-4 IN MICHIGAN

Yousaf Khan from London, a student at Grand View University, Des Moines, Iowa finished second as his college golf team dominated their opening event, the Crusader Classic, at The Tradition at Treetops, Gaylord in Michigan.
Yousaf had rounds of 67 and 69 for four-under-par 136, finishing second, a shot behind team-mate Mike Slavin (65-70).
Grand View players filled the first four individual placers with Josh Manske third (72-68 for 140) and Aaron Ahrendson (69-72 for 141) filling third and fourth spots.
Not surprisingly, Grand View (550) won the team title with a bit to spare. Marian University (576) finished second and Madonna Univeersity (591) third in a field of six squads.
