ABERDEENSHIRE GIRLS BEAT GERMANS AT BANCHORY
Aberdeenshire girls beat a German girls' team, all members at Golf Club Wurzburg where Harry Bannerman's son Stuart is club pro, by four matches to two in a friendly match at Banchory today.
Deeside junior member Nicholas Black, 12-year-old son of former Curtis Cup player Elaine Farquharson-Black, made a guest appearance for the Shire girls because organiser Ethel Farquharson - his grandmother - could got find a girl with a handicap of around 23. Nicholas won by six holes - they played on to complete 18 holes.

Kirsten Pryde (11) beat Veronika Bochdanovits (9) 6 and 5.
Kimberley Beveridge (3) halved with Lisa Oberdorf (2)
