CATHY COMES HOME A WINNER - THANKS TO NEW CLUBS

Cathy Panton-Lewis put a rare WPGA One-Day Series victory down to a new set of clubs as she took the honours at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club.
The Scot, playing for Ascot’s The Berkshire Club, beat Suzanne Dickens of Thorpe Wood Golf Course in Peterborough, and Wellshurst Golf and Country Club’s Maria Tulley, by just one stroke.
Panton-Lewis, a founding member of the Ladies European Tour, carded a three-under-par round of 71 to edge out Dickens.
"I went there with a new driver and a new three wood, so I’m putting the win down to that," she said.
"It’s amazing how some new clubs can help your game and on this occasion I was able to win which was tremendous."
