ELAINE AND JILL WIN SCOTTISH WOMEN'S FOURSOMES
Elaine Allison (Stirling) and Dullatur's Jill Meldrum won the SLGA' Scottish women's foursomes tournament at windswept Glenbervie Golf Club today. They had a gross round of 79 to win by two shots from the St Regulus, St Andrews partnership of former Scottish champion Elaine Moffat and Lauren Whyte who gained the Club Trophy for the leading pair, entered from the same club. Two couples had 84s - Donna Jackson and Liz Stewart (Cochrane Castle) and Jocelyn Mackie (Ladybank) and Royal Dornoch's Cara Gruber. Jackson and Stewart won third prize with the better last six holes.
